FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS MATTER

Today's world is a place of change and uncertainty. Our families are under pressure, and we need stability more than ever. Family life is important because it shapes us as individuals and society. Marriages fail every hour and parenting is the most difficult job we've never been trained for! So where is God in all this?

We believe that family relationships matter to God and that He can help us with them. Good relationships bring joy and meaning to our lives. Broken relationships bring pain.

So how do we build and maintain successful family relationships? Like all families, we have experienced ups and downs in our life, but we have learnt that God's principles work. Our lives have changed and we are passionate about sharing this with others!

Our vision is to give every parent and couple in the UK the opportunity to experience the difference that God can make in those relationships.

But How?

We have just become the full time directors of 'FamilyLife'. We are committed to working with churches to help people with marriage, parenting and other relationship issues. We aim to inspire and equip the Church to do two things:

Build up and enrich the family lives of Christians within local churches using powerful, practical and Bible-based FamilyLife resources. We would encourage the church to impact their communities, to be "Salt and Light" with regards to family relationships - let others see the difference that God makes.

Provide training, innovative programmes and resources so that local churches can effectively minister to the un-churched in their communities. We want to enable them to help families and share the Gospel to those who are interested in hearing it.

We will encourage churches to work in partnership with each other and with local agencies such as schools and businesses.

But we cannot do this alone.

So how can you help?
